Garlic has lots of antioxidants. It also attacks H.Pylori in stomach the bacteria associated with ulcers and stomach cancer. 

Before cooking: Peel, chop and let sit 15 to 20 minutes before cooking to activate immune-boosting enzymes in it. 

Garlic has great reputation for its Cholesterol lowering properties, not yet proved. Even then it should be a must as a regular food item.
